Former Milton resident and area real estate agent the late Richard “Dick” Johnson (at left, standing left) enjoys one of seven trips taken to what his wife, Martha, described as one of his favorite places, the Grand Canyon, with his youngest son, Brian. Teayln Wendler (at right, pictured left) hugs her mother, Trickett, a 2009 Milton High School graduate, about whom she said: “I wish I could say even in her last days she was able to crack a smile, but she was the kind of hero who wasn’t afraid to cry.” (Submitted photos.)
